What a gem of a place! I'll be honest, my trip to SF had been less than desirable before stumbling into Sugarcane SF. Overpriced everything, bums galore, it wasn't what I expected.
Then sugarcane happened. Small, quaint, perfect. Tucked away in a nondescript area in Richmond, it's very unassuming. The owner was our server, a very kind man who engaged us in conversation. But the best part? The prices!!! There were four of us, we were able to eat our heart's content of sushi, for a grand total about of $70. Are you kidding me? NO, YOU'RE NOT KIDDING ME BECAUSE I AM THE ONE WRITING THIS!!!! BOOOOOM. Go here, seriously good. -

Just average. The bread on the sandwich was delicious but the teriyaki chicken was very bland and tasteless. Very disappointed.

Everybody found something - ice cream, Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea. Is each item top notch? Not really... But everybody was satisfied.

I'm literally sitting in this restaurant right now and knew I HAD to write this review. I bought two rolls and a milk tea with tapioca, all for less than $15. Crazy? IT GETS BETTER. The sushi was REALLY GOOD. The shrimp tempura in one of my rolls was nice and crispy and the salmon and tuna in the other tasted plenty fresh. The rolls were well-rolled, presented in a cute little boat, AND were not, like, 90% rice. Good balance between rice and fish/avocado.
In case you were wondering, yes, the milk tea was also tasty. And the tapioca balls tasted fresh.
This place is a GEM. WOW. -

Love this place, has ice creams and meals. My favorite is the chicken teriyaki sandwich. Great portion and is made fresh. The udon is pretty good also, definitely try it. One more thing to mention, I love their boba drinks! The peach one is my go to favorite
